I dare you... I double dare you to fill one yourself and maybe put dece in one field
who can you actually see:
Zander Zon - youtube bassist, nobody even knows his real name, but with just four strings he can replace whole band (kind of like Igor Presniakov on bass).
Jean Baudin - overstringed-basses fanatic, make beautiful arrangements tapping with all his 12 fingers (got it? got it?... no?) on all 12 strings. I highly recommend his album "Solace".
Avishai Cohen - probably only double bass player actually known by other people then double bass players, and I'd agree that for eason
Marcus Miller* - one of best recent jazz bassist (also playing bass clarinet), but unlike i.e. famous victor wooten, his playing is somehow more pleasant to ear, not just gruesomly complicated, and also excellent composer (who created possibly best performance I've seen with fellow musicians Maurice Brown, Alex Han, Adam Agati and others)
Patrice Guers* - now former bassist of Rhapsody of Fire, somewhot very good classic power and symphonic metal bassist, but i really like his "style".
Johan Ericson and Jari Maenpaa - main instrument of both is that... that bad guitar, however they are breathtaking multiinstrumentalists and composers (and who knows what else), and I believe their "musical sense" gives them honor to be here
Jeff Huggel - gruesomely complicated technical playing, former bassist of Brain Drill
Billy Sheehan - one of those classics I don't really listen to, but from what I seen, playing like him is impossibru
Lemmy Killmister - not much to say about his sonatas, but true traiblazer, actually using natural distortion of amplifier, it's immortal symbol, smoking bazilion cigarettes a day...
* seen live
last but not least, I have to mention my teacher Anton Jaro, great bassist and double bassist, and extraordinary teacher, when it's jut (great) coincidence I got to know him.
